WOW!!! It has been awhile since I have updated the Blog, it just seems so much has been going on and with also posting on facebook, has been too much to keep up with it all.
We don't have any puppies available for adoption, but we do have two older females ready for new homes. We also have 3 litters due in Feb.

Molly and Slugger are proud to announce that they have 3 babies, 2 boys and a girl. Boy one an all black was born at 6:33pm weighing 7.3 ozs.(he is our first all black baby) a dapple girl was born at 7:19pm. weighing 5.8 ozs. and boy two a black & tan was born at 8pm weighing 6.5 ozs.

THEY SAY A FACE THAT ONLY A MOTHER CAN LOVE, WELL GABBY WE ALL LOVED YOU.

Today 34 years ago was one of the happiest days of my life, my youngest son Clay was born, and sad to say his birthdays have not always been happy ones , as today is a real sad one.. Clay and Melissa had to have their beloved "Gabby" (mini English Bulldog) put down this morning, she was only 11 months old. This has been really hard on all of us, we knew that Gabby had problems from the time they decided to adopt her and make sure that she would have the most Loving home that they could give and as normal of a life as possible.. We had hoped and prayed for a little longer life for her, but it just wasn't meant to be. We know that Gabby is now a very healthy happy puppy and knows that while her life was short on earth, she was Loved and Adored. We will miss you Gabby. Clay and Melissa we are so proud of you for giving her a wonderful life and knowing when to let go....

Cricket had 2 girls and 2 boys early this morning starting at 3:50 and having the last at 5:43. It was a long night as I never got to bed, but well worth it, to be with her and know everything was okay. They weighed from 5.7 ozs to 6.5 ozs.

Emmie and Shade's last baby left today for his new home in Charlotte NC. He is a very lucky little boy, not only is he getting a great new Loving family, but they had also gotten a beautiful little LH girl, Bonnie that will be his new sister or mate. His new name is going to be Clyde,how cute is that. I think he and Bonnie are going to have a great life with their new family.

Allan and I have been sick for 6 weeks, everytime we would start feeling a little better, we would get knocked on our butts again. Today is the first day that I can say that we both felt pretty good, so I rearranged furniture inside and Allan and the pups worked outside, we both got a lot done but was worn out. On Monday, Cookie's little girl left to go to her new home in Fort Lawn SC with Jennier and Richard, and it was obvious that she was going to be a Daddy's Girl..

Today Natalie and Chris came from Atalanta GA for their baby girl, and I think she is also going to get a little spoiled..

We just want to Thank both families for choosing to open their hearts and homes to one of our babies. We can't say enough how Blessed we feel for the wonderful families that seem to find their way to us and choose one of our precious babies to become their new family member...Thank You....

Today we had 3 of Emmie's pups go to their new homes and tomorrow another will be leaving, so that just leaves one. We are just so pleased with the people that have come our way and chosen to give our precious babies a place in their homes as a new family member. Dachshund Lovers are some of the Best people.

We took Emmie's pups to the Vet today to get checked before going to new homes Friday and all five got a great check up, Vet said very Healthy, Good Temperaments(he was impressed) and parasite free.... They all traveled well as it it's 118 miles round trip, there was no motion sickness or potty accidents.
The last six days have really been rough around here, Allan and I both have the FLU... The pups know that we are sick and have really been good. It was good to get out for a little while today, but boy are we whipped tonight.

Two of Molly's babies have found homes for Christmas. Once again we are excited about the families that have chosen to make our babies part of their families. We keep getting to meet such nice people though our pups and are so proud when they open their hearts to one of our babies. Christine and Chris came from Fountain Inn tonight to get Molly's little dapple boy for a Christmas present and ended up with him and his shaded red brother. Took Molly's babies and our new babies Chance and Patches to the Vet today and got a good check up... Molly's little red girl weighed 2 lbs 15ozs; shaded cream boy 3 lbs 11ozs; shaded red boy 3 lbs 12ozs and the dapple boy 3 lbs 10ozs. Vet says they are all healthy, his wife came in and said awwww and he said NO.(LOL) Molly's babies will be ready for their new homes Friday, it's hard to believe that they are going to be 8 weeks old.. It's been rainy all day and they have sure missed their outside playtime, hope it will be better tomorrow...

We went and picked up our new boy today 'Patches'(7wks 1day old; black & white). When we got home we brought out the 7 week old litter and the two 12 week old boys for playtime with Patches, they had a ball!!!! Here are a few pictures of the fun.

THE RED LITTLE GIRL HAS BEEN CHOSEN, SO THAT LEAVES THE 3 BOYS TO FIND HOMES BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

This is our new baby. The air lines missed one of his flights today so he was late getting here. He is doing good and is BEAUTIFUL. His name is "Rosegarden's Lord Chancellor of Grendox" and we are going to call him Chance.

Abby's babies will start leaving home this week-end for their new homes, so guess their playtime today outside will be their last together, their Mom even joined in.

Abby and Rosebud's babies are growing so fast... Abby's boys are so full of engery and get so rough that we have had to move little Lucy in with Rosebud's babies as they are much more easy going. They all sleep though the night, but when we get up they all go crazy for hugs and kisses. It is so funny watching them all beg to be picked up, once we each give them Loving and play with them for a minute or two they are off playing together.

Blue Eyes now has a name "COOPER"

A VERY SAD DAY

Lady started nesting yesterday at 2:17 pm. and was in first stage labor at 2:45 am
It was a very longggggggg night. We got though the night and called the Vet this morning about her still not having had the pup yet, as she was having some contractions, but baby wasn't moving down as it should and contractions weren't regular. She was giving out. They told us that she just wasn't in full blown labor yet so needed to wait awhile, that was at 8. She went into full blown labor at 10:15 but still wasn't getting the baby down, we helped all that we could, and finally at 12 had had enough and called the Vet office back and they said have her there at 2pm.
We were almost to the Vet's office when she pushed hard enough to get the baby part way out, but it was so tight that I couldn't get her vaginal opening to stretch any, the sac was in tack and we were less than 10 mins from Vet's office. She was give out and wouldn't give any more good pushes. So we continued to the Vet's office,they took her stright back and finished pulling the baby out, but he didn't make it. He was black & tan and weighed 7 1/2 ozs. Lady is doing good, very weak and tried. The Vet said he thinks that the umbilical cord got mashed shut between the puppy and her vagina opening. We should have just stopped and pulled him out ourselves, but thinking we were so close and if there was a problem we would be better off there, costed the precious baby his life, so we are totaly sicken. Lady will be spayed in a few weeks, as I feel she just doesn't have strong enough uterus muscles to get the job done. She is our first to retire. This breeding is just so much harder than we were perpared for. Losing one just tears you apart as you feel that you failed the Mom and baby...

Rosebud's babies were 5 weeks old yesterday and are as cute as buttons. For the last 3 days they only been able to nurse on mommie at night before bedtime for 3 minutes, and are really doing great with eating their dry food. These aren't real good videos, but when I went to put the babies down for the night, they decided they wanted to play, so here is how it goes.

THERE ARE 3 BOYS AND 1 GIRL. WE ARE ALL TRIED AND READY FOR SOME QUITE TIME.
LET'S SEE QUITE TIME MEANS GOING TO THE GROCERY STORE, STEAM CLEANING THE CARPET, PLAYING WITH THE PUPS, AND GETTING READY FOR HUNTER'S PARTY TOMORROW.....

LONGGGGGGGGG DAYS

We are on around the clock watch with Molly, her earliest due date should have been Sunday the 4th and it is now Thursday... It has been a busy week with 2 litters active and demanding attention!!!! We have had to get another big baby crib in the great room to ensure that both litters had plenty of room to play. We have had doctor appointments, grandson's baseball, trying to get things done for the up coming litters and keeping the babies Loved on, just really a BUSY week.
Abby and Rosebud's babies paid a visit to our #1 Vet today and got very good check ups. Dewy weighed 2.9; Lucy 1.15; Alex 2.0; David's little boy 2.6; Cesar 2.9; Alberta's little girl 2.2; Boy 1 (still available) 1.15.
We also took Lady to see how many babies she is going to have and to see if she was okay to try and have them on her own as she had to have a C-section last year. She is doing great and is going to have just ONE baby.
I couldn't go to the ballgame tonight as I had a very important task to do, our grandson Hunter requested that I bake his birthday cake for his party Saturday, how COOL is that???...... So I am watching over Molly and got his cake baked just in case tomorrow is super busy.. Molly has taken to her crate and really nesting down so hopefully we will have babies by this time tomorrow.

THEY ARE SOME BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY PUPS.....THEY EACH USED THE LITTER FOR THE 1st TIME TODAY AND HAD THEIR FIRST BABY FOOD....THEY ARE SO SWEET, ALREADY LIKE GIVING KISSES, FOR THE NEXT 5 WEEKS WE GET TO TOTALLY ENJOY THEM AND GET THEM READY TO LEAVE THE NEST...THE WEIGHTS ARE RED BOY 1 lb.10ozs; RED & WHITE BOY 1 lb 10 1/2ozs; BLACK & WHITE BOY 1 lb 9 ozs AND THE GIRL 1 lb 5 ozs. WHAT A GREAT JOB WE HAVE....

ROSEBUD'S BOY #2 HAS A HOME

We had a very nice young couple come for a visit today, and they have decided that they will make Rosebud's boy #2 their new family member. We couldn't be happier, again we have been Blessed with having a wonderful couple choose one of our babies to be a member of their family.
It gives you such a good feeling seeing someone holding one of your babies and seeing the Love that they already have for it and knowing that it will have a wonderful Loving family waiting for it when it is older enough to go to a new home. Days like today make all the overwhelming days fade away.

ABBY HAD HER BABIES WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND WHAT A GREAT DELIVERY.....THE FIRST A 6 1/2oz BOY CAME AT 8:27; THEN A 5oz GIRL @ 8:51; THEN ANOTHER 6 1/2 oz BOY @ 10:09 AND THEN ANOTHER BOY WEIGHING IN AT 5ozs @ 10:42. MAMA AND BABIES ARE DOING GOOD.. WE WERE REALLY DUE FOR A GOOD DELIVERY AFTER 2 C-SECTIONS, HAVING TO HAVE VET HELP WITH ONE LITTER AND LOSING 3 BABIES IN TWO LITTERS.. THANK YOU ABBY !!!!!

Blondie's little boy went to a new home today with Taylor. We are again pleased with the home that one of our babies is going to. He and Taylor are going to be best friends for a long time. It is so great to think of him being with her thru so many important events that will be coming up in her life thru the years. Hopefully he will be right there with her when she finds her soul mate and starts a family.
